Jeffrey Scott , MS IMC
“When I got my first real estate job at the age of 16 I never imagined that it could snowball into a career,” said Jeffrey Scott, co-founder of Michigan Management and Property Maintenance. Over the last 15 years Scott has worked in and learned nearly every aspect of the real estate industry. “Now I love to put all of that experience to work for clients and property owners looking navigate this tricky real estate market.”
Scott obtaining a BA in Communications from the University of Michigan with a focus on marketing and business. Prior to co-founding Michigan Management he worked for The Scion Group, a Chicago, Illinois student housing management firm, and Broder & Sachse Real Estate Services, one of Metro Detroit’s largest commercial property management firms. Jeff’s projects with The Scion Group included the launch of the University of Michigan’s first luxury student high rise, 4 Eleven Lofts, and the rebranding and repositioning of a foreclosed 1,600 bed student housing community at the University of Illinois. At Broder & Sachse Scott managed the marketing and leasing for 3,000 residential units throughout Michigan, Tennessee, and Nevada.
Scott is active in the Detroit Metropolitan Apartment Association, chairing multiple committees including Technology/Communications, Sponsorship, and Special Events. Scott is completing a Master’s Degree in Integrated Marketing Communications at the Eastern Michigan University College of Business.
Kathleen Bernardi
“If you can live in it I have managed it” Kathleen Bernardi says as she reflects on her 10 year career in residential property and facilities management. Bernardi has managed everything from single family houses to large apartment communities. Bernardi’s property experience is strengthened by extensive facilities and maintenance management experience across all types of commercial properties.
Prior to co-founding Michigan Management and Property Maintenance Bernardi managed long-term stable assets, condo conversions, and large REO assets for Broder & Sachse Real Estate Services of Birmingham, Michigan. Her specialty is property turnarounds and has always exceeded property owner expectations during the turnaround period. “Being a property manager is like being a tight rope walker” Bernardi jokes, “you have to walk a fine line between providing excellent customer service and holding tenants responsible to their lease obligations.”
Bradley Sandberg, Broker, MBA
Bradley Sandberg began his career as a teacher, after graduating from Western Michigan University. “Being a teacher taught me a lot of valuable lessons that translate into the real estate world” Sandberg said, “much of my role involves educating clients about how to most efficiently operate their properties.”
Sandberg earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University and is the Associate Broker for Michigan Management and Property Maintenance. Sandberg brings business savvy expertise to the table and works closely with MMPM’s property owners on a daily basis.
